Because the "Focus" broke down, the light of the lamp went out.
Is there something essential that broke down? Are appropriate things being done? Are the right abilities for the task up to the challenge? Are the right tools at hand? Are the replacements available?
In the mean time, until light is restored to focus, darkness remains concealing everything that took refuge under its shadow. But, just because nothing can be seen in the dark, it does not mean that those things that are in it can't be sensed or known. Therefore be not dismayed when darkness seems to overwhelm; for man is provided with no less than five faculties of perception.
Sometimes some means can become insignificant or ineffective in some situations or conditions, but this should not prevent the achievement of an objective. Realize that there are always other means that will work in specific situations or conditions, and it is just a matter of time before the Lord unveils it for the the anointed ingenious explorative mind to discover.
But while time is of the essence, timing is always of prime importance. Sometimes the Lord seems to delay; but He is never too late. At other times He seems hasty; but He is never too early. He does things in His own timing, for to every thing, He has appointed a time and a season. Do you know what season is it now? Look at the sky, feel the atmosphere, observe the creatures. Can you discern in the spirit what things are slowly taking place?

There are times when the heart yearns so much to speak, but the Spirit keeps it at peace.
Manna must not be eaten while in the wilderness of fasting. Rather, it must be kept and preserved in the ark of the house of the Lord until the fasting ends.
In their own resprective times, the Lord shall pour His Spirit upon those He had set apart for His purpose.
