To you who have been set free: There is more to your freedom than you think. Let go, and be free as you are freed.

Now that you are free, like the mother hen, now is the time to free yourself from your chicks; or else they will remain incapable of achieving their God-given destiny by being too dependent upon the refuge of your wings. But keep a good distance from them and let the Lord guide them, and you will see how they learn to groom their feathers after getting wet in the rain.

Notice the place they are on? (Click here to see picture) Upon the solid rock they stand, in time, one of them will rise to lead.

Who are those taking refuge under your wings? They must learn to trust in the Lord, rather than in the capabilities and limits of your own wings.

Be merciful to me, God, be merciful to me, For my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, Until disaster has passed. (Psalms 57:1)

As an eagle that stirs up her nest, That flutters over her young, He spread abroad his wings, he took them, He bore them on his feathers. Yahweh alone did lead him, There was no foreign god with him. (Deuteronomy 32:11-12)

How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings. (Psalms 36:7)
