Yesterday my father saw a large spider eating a cockroach. He thought it might interest me, so before the spider could move away, quickly he informed me about it. And indeed, I found it fascinating. I used to see some of these spiders inside the house carry along their coin-size silk eggs underneath their belly. But because of the cats, it is now rare to spot these spiders around catching their favorite prey.Unlike most species of house spiders, this particular type of house spider do not spin webs that make the house look messy. And because of its agility and its large size, it is an efficient natural predator of the cockroach. Without spiders of this kind, cockroaches inside the house will proliferate and so is the possibility of diseases caused by microorganisms carried by the cockroaches.
God created this kind of spider in such a way that its being a predator helps control the number of some insects in human habitations thereby minimizes the possibility of diseases caused by microorganisms carried by the dirty scavenging cockroach.
What about man, what is he designed to prevent, or at least limit? Consider the following verse:
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. (Matthew 5:14-15)
Light drives away darkness. Is there darkness in the place where you are? Look around, can you see anything? If not, then you are in darkness. Maybe nobody around dares to light a candle -- and that includes you. As has been said, "why curse the darkness when you can light a candle?"
The nation needs to be gotten rid off naturally of dirty cockroaches, but where have all our large spiders gone? Are they being scared away by the fat cats?
To those who are being stirred by the Lord to shed light to the darkness in the place where you are, hear these words: Now is the time to show your light; for it is the right season. Do not hesitate to do the right thing now; for their won't be another good chance in the near future. Be not afraid of what people might do to you; for the Lord shall be with you.
This shall be a sign to those of you: Doors shall open in your favor; for the Lord shall set it so. Ways shall pave; so that you will be guided accordingly. Do not plan ahead what you shall say; for the Lord shall put in your mouth the right words to say when the time comes.
There is thunder and lightling in the sky; there is heavy rain in the dawn. The nation is now in the season of purging of unrighteousness. Let God pour out the rains of righteousness upon the land. Let darkness be purged from the land.
