As The Eagle Soars

By Don L. Sutton

How graceful and brilliant the Eagle does soar, So far up in the sky.

Without any effort it glides right along,
Over mountains it does effortlessly fly.

So small a creature, yet mighty and strong, with determination to conquer it all.

Without any worry it soars all alone,
I wonder if it ever does fall.

I realize the Eagle sometimes fails,
To prove the majesty it desires to proclaim.

It just gets back up and launches again,
And continues without pity or shame.

It remains so proud and full of respect,
Yet perfection it does not possess.

It also must learn from the mistakes it does make,
And as the Eagle, I too must confess.

My feathers get ruffled when the wind starts to blow,
And it hurts whenever I fall.

Unlike the Eagle I know in my heart,
On God I always can call.

He is always there with His wings open wide,
To direct me on a new flight.

He smoothes out my feathers and opens my eyes,
And again makes my dark world so bright.

He welcomes back Hope, adds desire to my life,
And instills joy back in my heart.

He forgives me once more, gives me direction to go,
And like the Eagle, a new flight I start.

He teaches me patience, He renews my lost strength,
And He mounts me up on new wings to fly.

He cares enough for the Eagle to climb,
So As The Eagle Soars, so must I.

[Isaiah 40:31]

It is becasue of storms that young eagles are forced to dare to soar higher above the turbulence and discover their capacity to explore new and higher heights they have not been before.

God allows trials to come to our lives so that we will discover for ourseleves that He has given us the ability to get higher above the hardships of life. Some people do not realize that they have God-given potentials until it is developed thru hardships and revealed by trials.

Becuase it is God who bestowd man his potentials, it is only God who knows when is the right time to release it and how to cause it to be unleashed.
